H. L. Onstad is the winner of the 2026 Leopold Bloom Prize for Innovative Narration. Her fiction and criticism have  appeared in ZYZZYVA, Harvard Review, Kirkus, Solstice Literary Magazine, L'Esprit Literary Review, and HA Journal, a publication of the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and Humanities. Her short stories have been anthologized in Simpsonistas, Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 (Rare Bird Lit).
