H. L. Onstad is the winner of the 2026 Leopold Bloom Prize for Innovative Narration. Her writing has appeared in ZYZZYVA, Harvard Review, Kirkus, and HA Journal, a publication of the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and Humanities. Her short stories have appeared, or are forthcoming, in Solstice Magazine, L’Esprit Literary Review, and Simpsonistas Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 (Rare Bird Lit).
